Bill and Scott I struggled the last few days to find the words which would adequately describe the friendship Debby and I have had with Janet over the last 45 years or so. She abounded in love, kindness and strength, but those words seem to fall short.

Then I realized the words I was searching for were written long ago. Most of us have heard these words before, and many of us have actually spoken them.

Here are some of these words, and how I believe they describe our friendship with Janet:

For better and for worse, Janet was a loyal, loving friend. Her companionship certainly made our lives better, and I believe she helped Debby and I become better people.

In good times and in bad, Janet was a wonderful friend. We shared many joys with her and Bill over the years: and Janet was always there to help us through difficult times. I hope that Debby and I helped Janet and Bill during tough times s much as she helped us.

For richer and for poorer, Janet was always with us. She brought so much love and warmth to our friendship that Debby and I always felt enriched by having her in our lives. We could never feel poor when we had Janet and Bill as friends

Yes Debby and I feel that our relationship with Janet was like a marriage of friendship. We treasurer the time we had with Janet. We will miss her, but we know we were blessed to have Janet as a precious friend for so many years.

I’m not sure exactly what heaven is like, but I believe that at least for today it’s a giant craft show and Janet is first in line.

    JANET WE LOVE YOU
    Dave

    Bill and Scott,

I just want to tell you how sorry I am for your loss. Jan was the nicest, most caring, and always held such a special place in the heart of my mom, Linda, and I. I remember growing up with Jan in my life and going to lunches with my mother, Jan, and Helen and she was always so sweet and loving towards me and provided me with great childhood memories. She was such a dynamic positive soul and I know my mother and I and the our whole family will love her forever. All of my prayers and best wishes.

    Bill and Scott,
I am so sorry that we have lost Janet. Janet was like a second mother to me. My brother and I called her Aunt Janet when we were younger. She has always been a special woman in my life and I feel blessed to have had her in mine. She had a special bridal shower for me and I enjoyed it so much. She was a part of our life we can never replace. She accepted my husband Mike into our little Balmos/Huster family with all our traditions. I could always count on Janet. I LOVED HER and I ALWAYS WILL.

    MY BEST FRIEND

Janet and I have been friends since first grade. 55 years of friendship, I wouldn’t trade them for anything. She and I have been able to talk to each other about EVERYTHING. We have had to lift each other up when the news is not what we wanted to hear, but we laughed and enjoyed just being together. We had our fall rituals where we went from craft show to craft show, we even started going out of town and taking our husbands with us. We found humor in a lot of what we saw and could buy the same clothing and not care who saw us wear them on the same day. Our likes and dislikes are one in the same. Its rare to find a friend who is so much like yourself but I certainly did that with Janet.

Janet brought JOY to everyone. I have so much admiration for her as she helped her family, friends neighbors even strangers with things from making graduation gifts to planning showers or watching her great niece Lucy. She goes above and beyond for friends and family. As a wife she always tried to be supportive and please. As for motherhood she excelled. Scott was her miracle baby and she loved him unconditionally.

Janet was a smart person. Extremely bright. She was able to get another job after 43 years with the same company. She did well because she excels at everything she does. If she doesn’t know how to do it she will find out how to.

I told her in the hospital she was doing all of this with such Grace. She endured the pain, test after test and still could smile or make a joke. She was an exceptional person. She helped raise her sisters and was a mother to them, Janet was a good Aunt and Great Aunt.

Janet was a spectacular FRIEND AND SISTER to me. She has always been Aunt Janet to my children. We have raised our families together and we are truly blessed with that closeness. Many people say we were joined at the hip and we do feel we were because we did so many thing alike. Janet has always been a THINKER and internalizes everything except she could open up with me. When we got together we could deal with the WORLD and any problem in it. I will miss Janet and she will always be in my heart forever.
Just remember: Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us everyday. Unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and very ,very dear.

    I Love you Janet
    Debby
