Elizabeth Lyle Dressman (née Minogue) passed unexpectedly on December 18, 2025.
She is survived by her loving husband, Dave; her devoted sons, Bill Skelton and Tom Skelton; and her beloved daughter, Jennifer Carr. She was deeply loved by her grandchildren, Kelli Connor, Jessica Arora, Justin Carr, and Jared Carr, her great-grandchildren, her stepdaughters Debbie Timmerding and Rebecca Craner, and many extended family members who will miss her dearly.
Known to many as Betty, she was a graduate of Thomas More College, but her closest friends outside of family were the alumni of La Salette Academy, Class of 1961. She was the organizer of their frequent gatherings and truly the glue that kept the group connected through the years.
Betty was thoughtful, intelligent, and deeply caring. If left unattended, her mailbox would fill every few days with notes of thanks from the many small charities she supported. She sent hundreds of cards and e-cards each year, always thinking of others. She enjoyed keeping up with the TV news, sports of all kinds, her favorite soap operas, birdwatching, and caring for stray cats and other outdoor animals she fed and sheltered with devotion.
Betty will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Jimmy V Foundation for cancer research: End of Year – V Foundation.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 10-12pm in the chapel of LaSalette Garden Apartments – 702 Greenup Street Covington, KY 41011.
