Mr. Ted Scheall was my pre-algebra teacher at Boone County High School in Florence, KY my freshman year there 1977-78, and he was my algebra 1, remedial section, teacher my sophomore year there 1978-79. I liked Mr. Scheall a lot. He was a great guy, and he was likely at least one of the main people who very much helped me turn from very much disliking math to very much liking it, actually to a point where I became obsessed with some areas of it, and its applications to areas of physical sciences. I found Mr. Scheall online on my phone I think some time roughly Sep 2023 to Apr 2024, and I sent him a text message, but he might not have used test messages much and he might not have seen my text. I continued very enthusiastically reading/studying a lot about some areas of math and physical sciences after high school, and finally got a B.S. in math after a big struggle, and have continued reading/studying in areas of that since. I very much believe in praying for the souls of all deceased people, and so am praying for the soul of Mr. Scheall. I’ll text and email my sister Kim Lohre Downes about the passing of Mr. Scheall, and I’m sure she’ll also pray for Mr. Scheall. I also remember Mrs. Sallee(sp?), Mr. Scheall’s wife who was principal at Collins Elementary school in Florence, KY when my mom, Mary Ann Lohre taught there. – Doug Lohre / Florence, KY
