Lynn Louise Suttman August 20, 2020

Lynn Louise Suttman, 70, of Highland Heights, KY, passed away on August 20, 2020, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Fort Thomas, KY. Born in Dayton, Ohio, she is survived by her father, James J. Suttman; her partner, Steven W. Wilson; sisters, Cheryl Suttman, Cindy (Mark) Newland, Carol (Dave) Rickert, Cathy (Mike) Heinz; sister-in-law Sally (John) Suttman; the daughter she never had, Tara Epplen; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Charlotte L. Suttman (nee Lambert), and her brother, John J. Suttman.Lynn was a loving and giving partner, daughter, sister, and friend. She alone could have kept Hallmark in business. She always remembered birthdays and other special occasions, and at a time when email and virtual greetings are replacing greeting cards, her friends and family could always rely on a card from Lynn, right on time. Even though she endured health issues that limited her physical activity for much of her adult life, Lynn enjoyed hobbies including pottery, needlework, music, cooking, and reading. Her partner, Steve, and she were among the Moody Blues’ biggest fans and attended many of their concerts together. Lynn earned a bachelor’s degree from Morehead State University, where she was active in the theatre department and played the lead role of Bernarda in “The House of Bernarda Alba.” She was a social worker in Kentucky for most of her career and provided much-needed support to the victims of domestic abuse and violence. She almost always had a pet dog in her life, and her dogs lived like royalty. Because of her love of animals, Lynn was a lifelong supporter of the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).Lynn’s family will host a private celebration of her life with her father in Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the ASPCA.

Just now learned of Lynn’s passing. I worked with her at 423 Greenup Street. I always enjoyed chatting with her for a moment or two in the midst of a busy day, appreciating her positivity. Thank you Lynn for being you.
