Roger J. Meyers June 10, 1945 - April 16, 2020

Mr. Roger Meyers, 74, of Erlanger, KY peacefully passed away on April 16, 2020.  He was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 10, 1945 to the late Natalie and Herbert Meyers.  After graduating from Abraham Lincoln High School, he went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Brooklyn College and completed graduate work in sociology.  He spent his professional life teaching, from federal investigators to community college students, his passion was sharing knowledge and helping people reach their full potential.  For decades, he volunteered his time with Odyssey of the Mind helping gifted young people think creatively. Roger married his beloved Roslyn in 1978.  Roger and Roslyn had a very loving and respectful marriage.  They were blessed with two daughters of whom he was always very proud. He is survived by his wife, Roslyn; daughters: Mayim Meyers (Matthew Zerwekh) of Ferndale, MI, Rachael House (Adam) of Burlington, KY; grandchildren: Liliana Meyers-Zerwekh and Frederick House; brother: David Meyers (Terri) of Greensboro, NC; several nieces, nephews, and friends who loved him dearly. Roger always enjoyed the outdoors; from the beaches to the mountains or even simple gardening, he always found ways to connect with nature.  He loved Roslyn deeply and he lined their yard with rose bushes for her when they moved into their first house.  He also appreciated ham radio communications, equipment and festivals.  Most of all, Roger valued time with family and family traditions.  He will always be remembered with love and fondness.
