Thom Wright lived a short but full life. He was kind, thoughtful, smart and talented in visual
art, writing and, most of all, music. Thom played guitar throughout his life, beginning at the
age of six, more recently including a developing enthusiasm for composition and sound
recording.
Thom loved cats and cars, vinyl recordings, wrist watches, ancient Greek and Roman
Artifacts, his family and friends and European travel. A high point of his young life were trips taken to Germany and the Baltics with Italian cousins when Thom was 17 and 21.
Thom attended Cincinnati Country Day School and the School for Creative and Performing
Arts in Cincinnati. He received his BA from the University of Cincinnati, majoring in Classic
Studies. He continued his education at UC with Dean’s List recognition earning a master’s degree in Anthropology and an MA in Art History. Thom augmented his studies with summer field work at an archeology site in Greece.
Thom’s day jobs included sales at Findley Market in Cincinnati and several respected
jewelry stores in the city.
Thom is survived by his Mother, Vivian Lipari, his Father, George Wright and wife, Louise Hausman, Sister, Angela Wright, Aunts and Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins in the US and in Europe. His gentle soul will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
